Cynthia received her Diplomate in Oriental Medicine (Dipl. OM) from the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM). She holds a Clean Needle Certification from the Council of Colleges of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (CCAOM).

Cynthia also completed a 14-month clinical externship at the Whole Women, Whole Health Program in the Breast Care Center at Mercy Hospital, Chicago. There she provided adjunct care and support for breast cancer survivors, using acupuncture to relieve the side effects of surgical scarring, medication, chemotherapy, and radiation.

Cynthia is especially interested in infertility and gynecological issues, orthopedics, pain elimination, and men’s, women’s, and children’s health.

My mission is to provide an exceptional patient experience.  My clinical approach blends the best elements of evidenced-based biomedical awareness within an Eastern medical practice.  Treatments are tailored to meet the unique needs of individual patients, combining a solid understanding of hands-on body therapy with acupuncture and traditional Chinese medicine.

My passion is to resolve issues affecting body, mind, and spirit with gentle, proven techniques, and to provide preventative health and wellness care for men, women, and children.

  1. Rick Coscia says:

I crushed my pelvis and crushed 2 vertebrae in 1994. I have had increasing pain over the years and finally in 2015 it was clear I would have to get used to the idea of being drug dependent. Since going to a2healingarts I have gotten much better and Ms Esseichick has helped me more than I could have guessed she could have. I’m planning to live without pain going forward.

  2. Cynthia is exceptional! Each session with her addresses my body and mind holistically–we discuss recent stresses or injuries and she works to restore me. I have a few ongoing issues–my Crohn’s disease affects and is affected by general and localized inflammation. When flaring I can get painful, blistery eczema on the palms of my hands. Cynthia helps me to keep this ongoing condition in check, and gain perspective on it, as well. Acupuncture with her was even effective in completely relieving me of an acute pinched nerve/muscle issue in my back last week. It was gone within days of treatment, and this area, when it occasionally gives me issues, is usually sore for months. She also treats me for menstrual regularity and generalized female reproductive health, which is very effective. I cannot sing her praises highly enough.
